Review: If you want to see Jennifer Lawrence in a film, this design might encourage you, but it says absolutely nothing about the narrative other than Lawrence seeming depressed.

Trailer Rating: C / C+

Review: (#1) It’s nice to see Jennifer Lawrence in an indie film again, but the trailer does a poor job conveying anything other than her being in a difficult emotional state without presenting anything remotely compelling.

(#2) We get into the meat of the film with this second trailer, which makes it just a bit more interesting than the prior effort, but some films don’t lend themselves to excitement, which makes it difficult to create a trailer that sells the film and this one doesn’t quite find a way.

Oscar Prospects:

The film hasn’t been generating much buzz, especially for Jennifer Lawrence’s first major Oscar-capable performance in 7 years. That’s not generally a good sign.
