Rating: B-
Commentary: The design doesn’t exactly evoke Terrence Malick’s aesthetic, but it does have an inventive edge that distinguishes itself from other designs.
Rating: A
Commentary: The lush landscapes that are Malick’s style are ever-present and the stunning cinematography employed makes up for a lack of plot details. It’s a movie that die-hard cineastes will already be familiar with regardless of their interest in the trailer design, which isn’t likely to entice too many non-Malick-ites.

Oscar Chances: Other than his first film, each of Malick’s films has been an Oscar nominee. His directorial career is only five films long, which isn’t voluminous, but that all four of his post-Badlands films have been nominated for Best Cinematography, I’m certain To the Wonder will be his fifth successive film. Whether the film can crack the Best Picture race will depend on how the film hangs on for the next few months.
