(color and symbol key at bottom of page)

Wesley Lovell: When Top Gun: Maverick lost the nomination at the Oscars, it became a toss up as to which film would take over its position. While this weekend’s ASC winner, Elvis, may have appealed the most to the members, All Quiet on the Western Front won at BAFTA and wasn’t nominated at ASC. As such, the only head-to-head resulted in an All Quiet victory. That’s where my prediction is now, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the narrative about the first woman to win at ASC were to pick up momentum at the Oscars.
Peter J. Patrick: Should be an easy win for All quiet on the Western Front over the hyped-up Elvis.
Tripp Burton: No revised predictions or commentary provided.
Thomas La Tourrette: When Top Gun: Maverick missed out on a nomination, it paved the way for All Quiet on the Western Front to be the Oscar frontrunner. The BAFTA win cemented its position. Then this weekend it lost a little of its luster when the cinematographers guild went for Elvis. The guild is a decent guide to the eventual Oscar winner, but not a perfect one. That win gives me pause, though All Quiet was not nominated so it does not give a real head to head comparison. For that we would have to look back to the BAFTA where All Quiet bested Elvis. Either one could win and none of the other nominees seem to have a chance. It has become more of a mixed race, but I still think that All Quiet will prevail for the win.
