There aren’t any other new wide release options, so the number one spot will go to Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in its third week. How the latest version of The Grudge performs will depend on a lot of factors, but performing well isn’t likely.

Wesley Lovell (WL): I never saw the original, the remake, or the sequel. Now’s not the time to start.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): I’m not familiar with previous Grudge entries, but the strong cast could save what looks like a routine horror movie.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): I am not a horror fan to start with, and this really did not appeal.
