Review: The competent design has limited detail and a dark, vacant background. It’s the kind of competent design that doesn’t inspire.

Trailer Rating: B- / C+

Review: (#1) This Netflix drama wants to tell us the story of King Henry’s ascension to the throne, but the trailer doesn’t seem as interested in selling the drama of the tale or its purpose.

(#2) Sometimes, the second trailer makes a film look more dull than the first one, which is the case here where the story isn’t as well pronounced and the drama presented just isn’t that compelling.

Oscar Prospects:

Timothรฉe Chalamet has a lot of potential to be an Oscar winner and this is a better opportunity for him than his role in Little Women, with the notable exception of the fact that Best Actor is far more competitive than Best Supporting Actor at the moment, so the film might struggle a bit.
