Review: While it certainly has that 80s vibe that it’s going for, its such a ramshackle construction that the audience doesn’t get an appropriate sense of the film’s purpose.

Trailer Rating: B-

Review: You can see the heavy influence of John Hughes in the trailer. Whether it’s similarities to Say Anything or The Breakfast Club, it all feels inspired by a time period in which the writer probably didn’t live, which is why the whole thing looks nostalgic without having the same sense of presence as Hughes’ films did.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
