Review: (#1) An interesting design with a gown that looks like cream cheese covered in bagels with lox and more. The dull background doesn’t add much and the whole thing tells you absolutely nothing about the film itself.

(#2) The attempt to add a bit of sex appeal to an image of notably religious connotation is a solid attempt, but an ultimately unsuccessful one.

Trailer Rating: C+ / C+

Review: (#1) The difficulty in conveying plot in a trailer is seldom more keenly felt than in this trailer, a misguided attempt to present a unique element of Jewish life to viewers and expect them to want to give it a whirl when there’s almost no purpose revealed within.

(#2) We finally get a small amount of the humor that’s supposedly at the heart of this Jewish comedy, but the critics’ plaudits presented to the audience are stuffy and ultimately try too hard.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
