Poster Rating: C; C+

Review: This poster has little to do with leading a double life and since Costner’s turned his back to the camera and the view of his face we have makes him look very little like himself, I don’t think it’s going to encourage anyone to see the film.

This second poster is far better at evoking the film’s subject matter. The identity hidden within is easily captured in the sliding square. However, the colors are painfully oppressive and there’s little else of distinctive style that would make this seem less like a fly-by-night production.

Trailer Rating: C

Review: One more painful Kevin Costner film to sit through. As a man with a secret identity, this one looks like it will either work or not. My guess is not. Costner’s never been able to carry this kind of film and although William Hurt and Demi Moore are talented actors, the combination just looks like one more film that’s going to go horribly wrong.

Oscar Prospects:

Political thrillers rarely appear at the Osars and with this preview, I see little reason why the trend would not continue.
