Review: The harsh white background does a poor job accentuating the central image, which isn’t as compelling as it needs to be.

Trailer Rating: B- / B / B-

Review: (#1) Perhaps this will be more than the sum of its parts, but the trailer doesn’t cut the film nearly as well as it should have. The audience might not come away with the concept that this is a film that is important to our time when it probably should be.

(#2) With the original trailer gone, there’s no easy frame of reference between the two. It looks mostly like the original trailer, but its significance is even more keenly felt now than it was when it released in February.

(#3) The first and second trailers are now both gone. I suspect it’s the throwaway line about focusing on getting the black cows into the forefront that caused it to be modified, but there’s not enough appreciable difference here to make it more or less interesting than before.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
