Review: Sometimes, using the background trees to create imagery works quite well. Here, it looks so fake that it’s almost laughable. The colors are all rather dull and uninteresting. (#2) It’s kind of gross, but that’s about it. The entirety of the design is unnecessarily golden and dull. (#3) Keeping the yellow and orange theme of the prior designs might make sense if that’s the color palette of the film itself; however, for selling a film there just isn’t enough here to make a go of it.

Trailer Rating: C / C+

Review: (#1) Hoping to go for a horror film based on a Grimm fairy tale is an interesting idea, but this effort doesn’t quite work.

(#2) Revisionist fairy tales have been all the rage in the past, but trying to create an excessively horrifying take on a Grimm Brothers classic doesn’t look much like it succeeded.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
