Review: Whoever pulled the images together here did a poor job choosing the lighting, the blending, and the background. It’s all very clearly not posed, but cobbled together from a lot of different sources, none of which are that interesting.

Trailer Rating: C

Review: The film looks like a Mike Leigh reject, something meant to be strange, but also charming. The trailer does nothing to make any of the characters fascinating or compelling.

Oscar Prospects:

In a year with so few options, Sally Hawkins might return to Oscar consideration for her role here as might David Thewlis. However, it just feels like a film that the Academy tends to ignore.
