Review: (#1 & #2) Were these posters flanking a hallway of some kind, they would work perfectly. For character designs they are overly simplistic, but if used as outlined, they could be a nice and worthy commentary on the film’s content.

(#3) The family that plays together (in the ring?) stays together? Not sure it entirely has the metaphor it’s going for down. (#4) Rudimentary and compelling only to fans of Michael B. Jordan. No creative energy. (#5) Comparative masculinity. It’s all serviceable to the plot, but it doesn’t add anything new or enticing. (#6) Less fantasy-driven and ties much more fittingly to the film itself, but with no new energy. (#7) It’s similar to many of the prior design with plenty of sweat particle effects, but still nothing of measurable intrigue.

(#8) A sort of amalgam of the prior designs, this effort is a little more detailed, but no more interesting. (#9) This is a design that had some visions of being visually striking and it is. It’s perhaps too simple, but at least more eye-catching than the prior efforts.

Review: (#1) This is about as good a trailer as a film like this can provide. It sets up the tension and circumstances well and brings the audience in fairly well. With a few more visual and aural tweaks and it could have been more than a decent advertising tool.

(#2) If you were already interested in the film, this action-starved effort doesn’t tell you enough about the story or the characters to intrigue anyone beyond existing fans.
