Review: (#1) It’s enough of a callback to entice fans of the original Bill & Ted films, but lacks a certain grace. (#2) Less compelling than the prior design, you have to be intimately familiar with the film to even come close to getting it.

(#3) Quite a few more details here than in prior design, but there’s an awful lack of detail in the background, especially when most everything is cramped into the elevator. It’s a fitting decision, but one would hope for something more grand and creative.

Review: (#1) It’s largely a tease as we don’t really get much out of the trailer except that Bill & Ted didn’t live up to their promise and are now being expected to help. That’s a rather thin plot to base a film around and the aging actors delivering lines and accents that their younger selves once presented doesn’t make this sound like much more than a nostalgic cash grab.

(#2) Giving the audience more details about the film’s premise aids immeasurably in enticing viewers. This concept feels much more keenly tied to the prior efforts than the prior trailer did. It also positions this as more of a progression of sensibilities than a staid formula.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
