Every week, I get several press releases, screening invitations and other notifications from a handful of studio contacts. While I won’t be sharing any information regarding my screening invites, some of the press releases might be of interest to my readers, so I thought I’d start sharing them in toto with all of you. These could include new image galleries for various films or important updates to upcoming releases from various smaller studios and art house production companies.

Press Release: Huffington Pictures Announces Cast for “Sins of Our Youth”

HUFFINGTON PICTURES TAPS LUCAS TILL, JOEL COURTNEY, AND ALLY SHEEDY TO STAR IN โ€œSINS OF OUR YOUTHโ€

Based on a Screenplay by Edmund Entin and Directed by Gary Entin with Production Beginning in Las Vegas

Las Vegas (August 7, 2013) โ€“ Huffington Pictures has tapped Lucas Till (X-Men, Paranoia), Joel Courtney (Super 8, Tom Sawyer & Huckleberry Finn), Ally Sheedy (The Breakfast Club), to star in the teen drama โ€œSins of Our Youth.โ€ The film is based on an original screenplay by Edmund Entin and directed by Gary Entin. Michael Huffington is producing under his Huffington Pictures banner. Principal photography will begin this week on location in and around Las Vegas, Nevada.

โ€œSins of Our Youthโ€ is the story of four teenage boys who accidently murder a young boy while recreationally shooting assault rifles. The film follows the perilous decisions they make in the wake of the murder in a moment of desperation, paranoia, and fear that their lives are over due to the certain eventuality of the death penalty. The four teenagers construct a โ€œplanโ€ that leads them down an even darker path.

Mitchel Musso (Hannah Montana, Monster House), Bridger Zadina (Terri), Grant Harvey (Save the Date) and newcomer Dani Knights also star. Anthony Bretti is the executive producer and Frederick Levy is the co-executive producer. This is the second feature film from the twin brother filmmaking duo of Edmund Entin and Gary Entin, following โ€œGeography Clubโ€ which was recently acquired by Breaking Glass and also produced by Michael Huffington.

Lucas Till is repped by APA, Joel Courtney is repped by CAA, and Ally Sheedy is represented by Innovative Artists.

Huffington also produced โ€œGrassroots,โ€ a film directed by Stephen Gyllenhaal, which was theatrically released by Samuel Goldwyn Films, and Michael Mohanโ€™s romantic comedy โ€œSave the Date,โ€ which premiered at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival and which was acquired by IFC Films.
