The Ultimate List Face-Off event has now begun. We will be using Google Forms to process these polls due to their extensiveness and the ease of creating the polls. For more information on how the game works, click here.

Although we previously had discussions on limitations per week (the winning tallies were 10 per category and 10 categories per week), the sheer volume of face-offs that would be needed to complete this series would take us more than 17 years to complete. As a result, to make this go a wee bit faster, we’ll be doing all of the categories every week with 20 face-offs per category.

There are presently 4,465 pairings for Best Picture alone. If we do 20 a week, it will take 223+ weeks, which is 4.29 years. That’s a benchmark we can likely meet without too much trouble. Once categories finish (Animated Feature will take significantly less time than Music), we’ll start pulling in the larger categories into 40 per week. The same number of polls will be conducted each week (400). Google Forms should also allow you to save your progress and finish at a later time, so while it may seem daunting, you’ll have plenty of time to submit at your leisure.
