Most of you are familiar with Book Clubs, groups of friends or like-minded individuals who gather each month to discuss a book they assigned the previous? A Film Club is built on the same premise, except it’s one film and not one book discussed each month.
Here at Cinema Sight, we’re going to be hosting an online Film Club. There’s no cost to join, just a commitment to watch one movie every month and come back and discuss it with the rest of us.
I have a list of people who have expressed interest on my forums (the UAADB) and they will start the order of selecting films to watch together. The only requirement is that the film be available on Netflix. We’d love to restrict this to films at least ten years older, so we encourage our participants to select older features.
We are still in the planning stages, but we would like to invite you to join us. Just add your name in the comments to this thread and we’ll add you to the list. The more we have participating, the more interesting things will be. The most informed discussion comes from disparate opinions shared and compared. So, no matter your social or political background, or even nationality, should be a limit. Everyone is welcome.
Let us know now and we’ll get started in the upcoming months!
