Another late arrival, but one not likely to be seen before deadline (other films are a priority in my stack).
Lone Survivor
Stars: Mark Wahlberg, Alexander Ludwig, Emile Hirsch, Taylor Kitsch, Eric Bana, Ben Foster, Jerry Ferrera, Dan Bilzerian, Scott Elrod, Ali Suliman, Yousuf Azami
Director: Peter Berg
Premise: From IMDb: “Based on the failed June 28, 2005 mission “Operation Red Wings”. Four members of SEAL Team 10 were tasked with the mission to capture or kill notorious Taliban leader Ahmad Shahd.”
Oscar Chances: Uncertain: Its appearance on year-end best lists may help, but with absolutely no huge buzz leading up to this month, it’s going to have a tough time making it to the race, though it’s possible.
