    There’s a huge difference between Titanic and The King’s Speech. Namely about $600 million. For me, The King’s Speech seems more like The Queen than anything. A small, well-respected film that doesn’t feel grand enough to be an Oscar winner. Now, I don’t know that The Social network is a de facto winner either, but King’s Speech just doesn’t feel like Oscar fodder.

    Oh come on now

    Social Network is a good film – but picking up Best Picture from ALL the critics associations to date is making it seem like it’s Citizen Kane!

    I’m still predicting The King’s Speech to win Best Pciture though. The last time a film swept all the critics awards and ended up short at Oscar time was 1997 when LA Confidential bagged every prize and then Titanic came along and sunk it and every other film that year.
