One of the poorest reviewed films in history to win the Golden Globe award for Best Motion Picture Drama, Bohemian Rhapsody follows in a long line of HFPA selections that will not go on to win Best Picture at the Oscars. While there were a few surprises, like just how much they loved Green Book (they even gave it Screenplay over the likes of If Beale Street Could Talk and The Favourite, both incredibly well written films). While some of their choices are definitely Oscar contenders, they have made their characteristic selections that play to their non-predictive quality.
