The Hollywood Critics Association, which has been roiled by controversy and resignations, has decided to split off its creative arts categories so that they can have two ceremonies instead of one. Probably not the best idea, but they may be hoping to streamline their main awards so they can hook a broadcast deal. Anyway, these are the craft categories and what’s surprising is that Avatar: The Way of Water, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and Babylong didn’t do that well, nor did The Fabelmans, which has to be considered a solid bet for more than the few they’ve landed here.
