There was a bit of a delay in getting these winners. Ever since the Academy eliminated the Sound Effects category, this event has gotten less attention than it deserves. No one feature dominated, but Dune carried the day in the category most often associated with the old Oscar category. Meanwhile, the next most aligned, Feature Dialogue/ADR, that went to Nightmare Alley, which wasn’t even nominated for the Oscar.
