With so many nominees, you wouldn’t think the Motion Picture Sound Editors would be that helpful in predicting the Oscars. However, they certainly are. Films that receive 3 nominations are almost assured nomination (almost). Two mentions mean they have a decent, but more limited opportunity. No nominations and you can probably count them out entirely. As always, guilds are guides, not guarantees.
