Although The Power of the Dog easily led the nominations count, Benedict Cumberbatch was curiously missing from the list. Beyond that, Titane came out of this list with more nominations than The Worst Person in the World while the latter film is the one that made the Best Picture slate. A lot of out of the norm selections here, which is both interesting and forgettable when it comes to Oscar prognostication.
