Precursor: 31st Annie Awards Nominations (2022)

While Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio was the top vote getter, the film Disney tried to bury on Disney+ has the last laugh, picking up a strong 7 nominations while the studios other big tentpoles only picked up two each. The number of nominations overall is a bit muted this year with more films picking up a scattering of nominations rather than a few dominating.
