If the main acting awards were lacking in surprise, the voters at SAG made up for it with the win of Parasite for best cast. When they presented their film as one of the nominees, it became clear that the film was well loved among actors and was probably going to win. Now, it looks like the film could actually go all the way to the Oscars, though it still has to overcome the 1917 juggernaut. If Bong Joon-ho wins at the DGA, we could be looking at a Best Picture victory, a first for a foreign language film, as it was a first for a foreign cast this evening.
