Precursor: 20th DC Critics Nominations (2021)

Jane Campion’s The Power of the Dog tied Belfast for most nominations with a staggering 11 each. The next closest were Dune and West Side Story with 6 apiece. The Green Knight continues to hang on in spite of its lackluster opening earlier this year. The same can be said for CODA and The French Dispatch. King Richard and tick, tick…BOOM! are also doing well. The surprise here is the sudden emergence of Mass, a film which seemed well poised, but had since petered out weeks ago.
