It’s rather surprising to see that a technical marvel like Dune could consistently bring in fewer nominations than the more intimate The Power of the Dog, but this is the dynamic we’ve seen play out for most of the year. Not a lot of oddities here with the stronger than normal performance by non-English language films that other critics groups seem focused on.
