Giving A Star Is Born Best Picture, but no other awards (a runner-up mention in Best Actress was the closest it came), is a rather unusual move considering most critics groups tend to put a lot of awards onto films they award Best Picture (or at least more than one or two). BlacKkKlansman did incredibly well coming in runner-up for Best Picture and winning three other awards while Roma won a few as well with a similar pattern of runner-up mentions.
