Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): It’s time to see where the Marvel Cinematic Universe is heading now that the first story arc has been completed.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): Marvel’s first film built around an Asian superhero takes the genre in a different direction, but is it any good?
Thomas LaTourette (TL): This has surprisingly good reviews, but the trailer has left me cold and perhaps wanting a break from the Marvel Universe.

Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): The trailer is a bit dull, which means I’m not sure I want to see it or not.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): Riz Ahmed won a British Independent Award for his debut screenplay, but the trailer doesn’t really sell it.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): The reviews are uniformly good, but a trailer that does not really even give hints about what it’s about will not get people in to theaters to see it.

Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): It looks fairly formulaic, so it might not be worth the effort.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): Seems like a feel-good cable TV movie, but could be worth a sit-through.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): This just looks too cloying and predictable to interest me, and just too similar to other films where the hardworking son returns to save the town/family business/himself.

Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): I normally like original horror concepts, but the trailer was so poorly executed that I’m not entirely sure how I feel about it.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): Doesn’t look like a particularly interesting slow horror movie.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): The trailer does not give any sense of dread, which is bad for a horror film, and generally piques little interest.
