	Wesley Lovell (WL): The last “dark” version of a superhero tale that worked was Logan, but this doesn’t look much like it. Peter J. Patrick (PP): Not sure I’ll like it, but this apparent crowd-pleaser is a must-see. Thomas LaTourette (TL): The trailer is somewhat off-putting but Joaquin Phoenix is said to give his all in the title role.

	Wesley Lovell (WL): While Natalie Portman’s a good actress, early reviews suggest this one is a dud. Peter J. Patrick (PP): Natalie Portman’s grating fake southern accent is likely just one of the turnoffs in this poorly reviewed sci-fi film. Thomas LaTourette (TL): Natalie Portman is supposed to be good, but the movie, while it has an intriguing angle, is supposed to be rather a mess.

	Wesley Lovell (WL): Is Pedro Almodovar back in form? It’s uncertain. Peter J. Patrick (PP): Acclaimed Almodovar film for which Antonio Banderas won Best Actor at Cannes looks to be one of the director’s best. Thomas LaTourette (TL): Any film by Pedro Almodovar is worth looking forward to, and this serious late-in-life one should prove interesting even if it isn’t groundbreaking.
