With the tepid opening of IF, Furiosa should have absolutely no trouble topping the weekend box office. It even has potential to have the biggest opening weekend of the year so far.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga
Wesley Lovell: This franchise has proven to be an engaging and pensive set of films and I’m all for another one.
Peter J. Patrick: I have zero interest in this franchise.
Thomas La Tourrette: It may not prove as good as Fury Road, and the reviews are not as ecstatic, but it should still prove a fun ride.
The Garfield Movie
Wesley Lovell: If it weren’t for the actor voicing Garfield, I’d probably be more interested. That said, this does look pretty bland even excusing that.
Peter J. Patrick: Early reaction has not been good, but I’ll give it a chance if it does well at the box-office.
Thomas La Tourrette: It looks like a pretty bad animated film.

The Limited Slate
Wesley Lovell: A couple of decent prospects this week.
Peter J. Patrick: Festival hit, Hit Man is a must-see, but the French drag show, Solo, is a distant maybe.
Thomas La Tourrette: Neither has terribly interesting trailers, but either or both might be worth seeing. The reviews of Hit Man are pretty good, but it just did not seem exciting.
