With a surprisingly tepid opening, The Fall Guy won’t be able to stop Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes from coming out on top of the box office this weekend.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes

Wesley Lovell: I’m not sure about this. The prior trilogy is terrific but this is done by different filmmakers, so it might not be as good.

Peter J. Patrick: This franchise has always been interesting.

Thomas La Tourrette: The trailer seems a little confusing, but it has been a pretty good series so far, so I’ll probably go see it.

The Limited Slate

Wesley Lovell: The Last Stop in Yuma County is the most intriguing of these options.

Peter J. Patrick: None of these films look like something to run out to see but could be worth a catch on streaming.

Thomas La Tourrette: Force of Nature might be worth seeing though I have not seen the earlier one. The other two films look missable.
