The Alto Knights
Wesley Lovell: This looks like a bargain bin mob movie.
Peter J. Patrick: Looks like another flop from Barry Levinson.
Thomas La Tourrette: It does not look like anything new in the mafia world. And I am not sure why Robert De Niro seems to be playing two roles.
Ash
Wesley Lovell: Sci-fi needs to be interesting and the trailer doesn’t suggest this will be.
Peter J. Patrick: Looks like another Grade Z horror film.
Thomas La Tourrette: The trailer was confusing but a few of the early reviews are good, so I will wait to read more of them.
Magazine Dreams
Wesley Lovell: I have no interest in giving the star any attention if I can avoid it.
Peter J. Patrick: Controversial film looks to be another flop for Disney.
Thomas La Tourrette: It sounds like it boasts a good lead performance but not much else.
Snow White
Wesley Lovell: It used to be other studios would release direct-to-video version of Disney animated films. Disney’s decided to make its own knock-offs with its decreasing-quality live-action adaptations of its animated features.
Peter J. Patrick: Disney live action remake of its first great animated feature could go either way but I’m not holding my breath.
Thomas La Tourrette: I like Rachel Zegler, but this feels like a movie that did not need to be remade. It looks more painful than magical.

The Limited Slate
Wesley Lovell: Of these, the only two with a passing interest for me are Being Maria and Bob Trevino Likes It.
Peter J. Patrick: On balance, a more promising bunch than the week’s wide releases with Being Maria about the making of Last Tango in Paris featuring Matt Dillon as Marlon Brando probably the one that will garner the most attention.
Thomas La Tourrette: Being Maria and McVeigh look to be the best of a mediocre lot and I am not convinced that I need to see either of them.
