The spectacular debut of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will mean the second frame will be quite large. That could cause problems for the latest Transformers film. This latest film in the franchise is coming on the heals of a decreasingly popular series and that could hurt its box office numbers just enough to have it finish in second.

The Limited Slate
Wesley Lovell: Not a lot of great options this week.
Peter J. Patrick: Not a bad group of films. Daliland looks like fun. The Secret Kingdom looks like a good one for kids, while Scarlet and Blue Jean seem to be strong arthouse films. Angry Black Girl could be a refreshing new take on Frankenstein.
Thomas La Tourrette: Only Blue Jean really appeals of the limited releases.
