Even if the film is terrible, Twisters is going to top the box office easily this weekend. Even the second weekend of Despicable Me 4 won’t be able to stop it.

Oddity
Wesley Lovell: The trailer has potential but perhaps not enough to engage my interests.
Peter J. Patrick: Looks like a better than average horror film.
Thomas La Tourrette: I am just not into horror movies.
Twisters
Wesley Lovell: I love the original but will the new one be up to snuff? We’ll see.
Peter J. Patrick: Looks okay but not groundbreaking like the 1996 original.
Thomas La Tourrette: I will probably see this as the original was fun but predictable but did have Oscar-nominated special effects.

The Limited Slate
Wesley Lovell: There’s some potential here but not a great deal.
Peter J. Patrick: All three seem like something to see if there’s nothing else around that captures our attention.
Thomas La Tourrette: The foreign language films, Crossing and Widow Cliquot, look to be the best of the new releases.
