Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): While it looks like a standard-issue indie seriocomedy, the trailer prsented a few potentially redeeming elements.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): May be good slice-of-life comedy, but the trailer is more than a bit tedious.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): Nothing about the trailer made this look appealing. Nothing at all.

Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): The novel concept is just enough to intrigue me.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): Unusual combination of war film and horror genres but otherwise looks formulaic.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): Horror movies are not my favorite to start with and the trailer did not pique my interest.

Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): It looks like a traditional romantic comedy without much of the comedy.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): Tepid comedy looks more smug than funny.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): 1It might be funny, but it also felt like a movie that has been done many times before.

Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): This non-nominated Oscar submission for Best International Feature Film had a lot of support early in the process, but that’s not really enough to make it look better.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): Film version of Jerzy Kosinki’s 1965 controversial novel looks compelling.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): The Poles have made some beautifully shot black-and-white films and this may be another good one, but the trailer does not do enough to entice the viewer to want to see the whole film.

Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): Jenny Slate might be worth checking this out, but that’s about the only reason.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): Quirky comedy looks extremely forced.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): An uninspired trailer and savage reviews make this look like a film to skip.
