Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): The trailer is interesting enough to suggest it might be worth watching.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): Gripping Mexican border drama won the Gotham Award for Best International Feature.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): The story of a Mexican woman trying to find her son who illegally crossed the border should make for a compelling picture, though the trailer was not quite as gripping as I would have hoped for.

Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): It feels unique, but also familiar. I’m not sure what to expect with this one.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): Mexican-Texas border drama looks compelling.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): Again, the drama should be compelling, but the trailer falls flat and feels sort of silly and meaningless instead of drawing one in.

Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): The trailer does a poor job setting the right expectations for the audience, yet there might just be something here worth watching.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): Hungary’s submission for this year’s Best International Feature looks like an interesting film noir.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): Reviews are good and they mention “Hitchcockian” and “menacing,” yet the trailer is so restrained that it works up no tension. I sort of felt like I was watching a trailer for a different movie.

Individual Commentary:

Wesley Lovell (WL): It looks like a dull, if serviceable cheesy sci-fi/horror comedy.
Peter J. Patrick (PP): Cheap looking horror film appears to be a total waste of time.
Thomas LaTourette (TL): It tries to be clever, but the writing and effects make this a mediocre entry into the humorous sci-fi category.
