With four wide releases on Wednesday and another three on Christmas Day, the weekend is going to be a real barn-burner, at least Hollywood hopes. It’s very likely that Spider-Man: No Way Home stays at the top for a second weekend (of likely many), but the highest posting new release is likely to be The Matrix Resurrections, outdistancing both The King’s Man and Sing 2.
Our Highest Rated Films: The Tragedy of Macbeth, Parallel Mothers

Wesley Lovell (WL): The first movie was fun, the second movie was ok. This prequel doesn’t look nearly as interesting even with the solid cast. |

Wesley Lovell (WL): The first movie was great, but the following two were terrible. I can’t imagine the story has gotten any better in the intervening decades. |

Wesley Lovell (WL): I’m not enamored with Joel Coen’s work with his brother, but this adaptation of Shakespeare could be worth a watch. |
