In the least shocking box office victory in history, Breaking Dawn, Part 1 was number one at the box office. More noteworthy is the disappointing opening of Happy Feet Two and the major drops in numbers for most of the other films in the top 10. The biggest victory, however, was the impressive tenth-place finish for Alexander Payne’s George Clooney comedy drama The Descendants opening on only 29 screens.
