I’m not sure precisely when Johnny Depp became a “box office draw,” but that name appears to be a major misnomer. Most of the films that he’s been in that have also been blockbusters would have been hits without his participation. Now that he’s had the responsibility to launch films on his name only, it has become quite clear that he cannot as the disastrous opening of Transcendence proved.
