Last Week’s Results

It was a disappointing weekend for Guillermo del Toro. Although he easily beat his previous high opening weekend, many thought this wide-market-appeal movie could hit a sweet spot and debut much higher, possibly even claiming the top spot at the box office. Late tracking even suggested this, but Adam Sandler came on strong and pushed past Pacific Rim, but it was the strong hold over of Despicable Me 2 that won the weekend.
