Last Week’s Results

Brad Pitt apparently killed the audience so softly that no one even registered as having gone to the movie. A weak $6.8 million opening put it a distant 7th for the weekend while the sequel The Collection managed a 10th-place finish with a higher-than-expected $3.1 million keeping Silver Linings Playbook out of the top 10. Also noteworthy is that a late surge on Sunday brought Rise of the Guardians a scant $12,000 ahead of last week’s third place finisher Lincoln.
