Review: (#1, C+) There isn’t a lot to this poster and that’s to its detriment but the deadly plug makes for an interesting, if bland thematic expression.
(#2-#7, C+) Reminiscent of 90s musical video styles, fashions, and titling, these character posters are certainly more engaging than many of their ilk but they still lack uniqueness.
Trailer Rating: B / C

Review: (#1, B) There are two grades of ’80s/’90s-inspired horror films. This is the kind that relishes in its subject without trying to go full bore comedy. It makes its own case for its creative energy and doesn’t make itself a buffoon. It lovingly references rather than cheaply exhibits.
(#2, C) The first trailer felt somewhat endearing but this second feels forced. The attempt to lay the 90s-era style on thickly becomes overbearing quite quickly making the cheesiness stand out too much. While the first trailer make this look unforgettable. This effort gives the opposite impression.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
