Review: (#1) Going overboard on the praise of critics can have the unintended effect of overselling the film, which could backfire in a measurable way. It also makes the film seem like something the general public won’t actually enjoy. (#2) The second design does a better job avoiding the tendency to alienate a potential audience, but may be too “high-minded” for some and too obvious for others.

Review: If it weren’t for J.K. Simmons, this film wouldn’t look nearly as interesting. His fiery, nasty performance may prove more interesting than the slightly more familiar Miles Teller who doesn’t have the prominence of the Fantastic Four reboot to bolster it.
Oscar Prospects:
While Miles Teller might fleetingly enter the conversation, all chatter is likely to be on J.K. Simmons who’s been bubbling under for consideration for awhile and might finally get his opportunity.
