Review: (#1) While it has the accordion and tries to add the sensational element that made Weird Al unique, but it’s such a dull concept and is poorly executed.
(#2) This speaks more to the character than the prior design and might even make it more appealing to some, but definitely not all.
Trailer Rating: C / B-

Review: (#1) Getting one of his popular songs into the trailer was a good first step, but this biopic wants to feel a bit cheesy, like his music, but never quite comes off as anything but ingenuine.
(#2) The biopic vibe is alive and well in this trailer, which seems more interested in hitting high notes in the film than weaving a compelling narrative. Sure, that’s what the full film is for, but if you feel you’ve gotten the gist from the trailer alone, that isn’t much of an enticement.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
