Synopsis:
From IMDb: “A reporter’s dream of becoming a news anchor is compromised after a one-night stand leaves her stranded in downtown L.A. without a phone, car, ID or money – and only 8 hours to make it to the most important job interview of her life.”
Poster: C / B- / B
Review: The first design highlights the character’s embarrassment being seen in a slinky dress while a respectable portrait of her appears on the bench. It isn’t that interesting. The second pair is more interesting, but differ greatly. The second poster is American and the third is French. You can tell immediately what appeals more to French audiences and more about what they want to expect. From the panties appearing in the guy’s hand in one and not the other, a cat in one but not the other and the character’s face turned towards the viewer in one not the other. These are small differences, but they each have a different impact.
Trailer: B-
Review: There are some laughs, but not enough. The premise doesn’t seem that inventive, but Elizabeth Banks could sell it even if she doesn’t have much support from her co-stars.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
