Review: (#1, B-) There isn’t much to this design but its mind-twisting effect blended with the VHS static bars is a compelling and fascinating effect. The subtleness of the skull tells the audience its intent without overstating it.

Review: (#1, C+) For fans of the series, this trailer will certainly pique their interest but unless you’re a huge fan of found footage films, it will also turn you off.

(#2, B-) You somewhat get the sense that this is an anthology horror film but the concepts of the individual stories don’t stand out well enough to be exciting. The overlaying narrative explaining the camera concept adds some depth to the effort but it still seems like a hodgepodge of images without any sense.
