Review: The stark white background is unnecessary. You have several scenes from the trailer alone that would provide a much more resplendent backdrop for a movie poster. Instead, you have generic, characters-only excitement and even that’s not very exciting.

Review: This Spanish-language film is dubbed into English and like the films of Hayao Miyazaki, the failure to match up dialogue to mouth movements is distracting, but Underdogs seems significantly more off-kilter. With the clunky premise and lame jokes that are on display, it’s not surprising.

Oscar Prospects:

Like most of the other animated films Harvey Weinstein’s shingle has put out there, this one isn’t likely to come close to the Oscar race.
