Review: The first poster sets forth the stars of the film
in an array of martial arts poses. It certainly represents what the stars are about but is otherwise undistinguished. The other posters of individual characters try to reflect the personalities of the painter-named turtles. These posters just aren’t spectacular.

Trailer Rating: C+; C-

Review: Definitely a teaser as it gives away nothing of the plot. However, my own dislike of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from their hey day as a popular kids cartoon makes none of this computer animated spectacle enticing.; It gets worse. This preview looks precisely like a cross between the grit of Dick Tracy, the situational settings of Elektra and the juvenile humor of Robots. Not a pleasing combination and this film will not be good.

Oscar Prospects:

If it earns an Academy Award nomination, it could very well be the most pathetic pick the Oscars have made in the category. It isn’t going to show as a nominee and even if it does, a win would never happen.
