Review: The poster is rather unspectacular. There’s far too much blue in the image and the line of people looks more like the design for Murder by Death than any serio-comic film.

Trailer Rating: B

Review: Likely to show the world both positive and negative aspects of the skinhead subculture, This Is England does promise a better-than-capable performance from its young lead. While the rest of the film won’t likely appeal to a great swath of the viewing public, critics, who are even highlighted in the trailer, should find something in the film to celebrate.

Oscar Prospects:

The only reason About a Boy succeeded at receiving an Oscar nod was because of the well known cast. While this pic doesn’t seem 100% like About a Boy, there are enough stylistic similarities to dissuade most voters from honoring this flick.
